A 60-second checklist
- Check the verified date first. The single code tested this week with a screenshot can easily beat a bigger discount with no proof.
- Read the success rate. Once at least five voters weigh in, the percentage will reveal how well the code holds up out there – beware any code marked ‘Recently reported’ till we test it again.
- Match the discount type to your order. Fixed-dollar codes beat percentage codes on small orders; percentages beat fixed dollars on big orders. Do the easy math based on your cart total.
- Check the scope label. Sitewide valid codes work for everything; product-specific or first order codes come with restrictions mentioned in their descriptions.
- Look for stacking notes. Some companies offer both a newsletter signup offer and a promo code together; where an editor has confirmed stacking, this is indicated in the coupon’s description.
- Weigh the vendor, not just the code. A 10% code from a company that offers third-party certificates of analysis will prove cheaper than a 30% code from a company which doesn’t. Every vendor gets rated according to COA transparency on their review.
When there is no code
Subscribe to that vendor’s alerts on their coupon page – you’ll receive a single notification when a new code clears verification.
